A small, family run hotel, the Residenza dei Pucci occupies a renovated 19th century building in Florence's historic centre, within 100 metres of the Duomo. Antique style dark wood furniture, floor length curtains and fabrics in soft colours give the six air-conditioned guestrooms a traditional feel. All have private bathrooms with hairdryers, direct dial telephones and televisions.
The hotel has an agreement with a nearby parking garage and for a fee guests can arrange to have their cars brought to them at the residence and taken back to the car park whenever necessary. Light complimentary breakfasts are provided each morning and informed multilingual staff can provide local information and tour advice. The hotel's central location means that guests will find a plethora of eateries, shops and major tourist sights right on the doorstep. The Duomo, the Campanile di Giotto, with its 82-metre bell tower, San Lorenzo Church and the Medici chapels are within 100 metres. The Galleria dell'Accademia and the Bargello Museum are just 300 metres away. Santa Maria Novella train station is 600 metres away and Florence Airport is seven kilometres and approximately a 15-minute journey away. The airport is a short taxi ride from the hotel (costing 13-16 EUR) although it is also possible to take the half- hourly 'Vola Bus' which transports passengers to Santa Maria Novella Station, in the centre of Florence. From the station it is 600 metres to the hotel. Walk down Via Cerretani and Via Panzani, turn left onto Via Martelli and at the first traffic lights turn right into Via dei Pucci.
